Family Doctor: Abdulrauf Abdulsalam

Dr. Abdulsalam graciously took me on as a new patient in August 2023 after my family physician of 30+ years retired in June 2023. I was hesitant that I wouldn’t be provided the personal care like I did with my previous doctor. It was only a matter of time before I realized that was not the case. I developed a complex spinal issue which affected my day-to-day life including my mobility, which had a huge impact on my husband and adult children. He saw the significance of including my family with my care and viewed it as an “all hands-on deck approach.” His focus on patient family centred care got us through it.

He is compassionate, attentive, patient and advocated for me non stop until I got the treatment I required. His entire staff at his clinic, including his wife, are so kind and relentless in helping me navigate everything on an ongoing basis . I am pretty lucky and blessed to have him in my corner! And yes, Dr. Abdulsalam, I did dance at my daughter’s wedding. Thanks so much!
